POPI Compliance
The POPI Act came into effect on 1st July 2021. We would like to assure you that all personal information will be treated with complete confidentiality, and we will maintain the safety, integrity and privacy of that information.
We would like to ensure that we have your consent to update you with our latest communications and special offers.
No action is required if you are happy to be on our mailing list. If, however, you would prefer to be removed from any emails, please send a reply email to res@idube.com with the subject “Unsubscribe”, and you will receive no further correspondence.
Legal Terms
- Idube Game Reserve is not liable for consequential losses arising from cancellations.
- Guests must obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation, loss/theft of personal effects, and activities such as game drives and guided walks.We recommend emergency medical/elective evacuation cover.
- Guests accept the inherent risks of wildlife, rural travel, vehicles, and outdoor activities. Lodge, its staff and contractors are not liable for injury, loss, damage, death, or delay unless caused by proven gross negligence by the Lodge.
- Guests indemnify the Lodge, owners and staff against claims arising from their actions or omissions.
- Personal property is the Guest’s responsibility; the Lodge offers secure storage but is not liable for loss/damage except where mandated by law.
- Guests must disclose pre-existing medical conditions, pregnancy, mobility limitations, or special needs at booking.
- The Lodge reserves the right to refuse participation in certain activities if a guest’s condition poses risk to themselves or others.
- Guests must follow guide instructions at all times, maintain safe distance from wildlife, and not feed or provoke animals.
- Drones/UAVs are prohibited except with express, written permission and relevant permits from aviation/reserve authorities.
- Lodge may terminate stay without refund for guests who endanger others, are excessively intoxicated, act unlawfully, or breach rules.
- Delays caused by air schedules, weather or road conditions are not the Lodge’s responsibility.
- The Lodge is not liable for delays, cancellations, or failures due to events beyond control (strikes, acts of government, natural disasters, epidemics, war, fire, severe weather).
- The Lodge may offer refunds, credits, or rescheduling, at management’s discretion.

Website Usage and Privacy Information
- In accordance with some of Google’s recent compulsory policies, we herewith inform you that we might be tracking your cookies as our website/ company is currently undertaking Google Ads remarketing of any other Google Ads feature that tracks such cookies.
- By visiting this site, you agree that certain of our Google Ads remarketing and or other advertisements can follow you as you visit other websites that form part of Google’s Display Network (GDN).
- Note that we shall under no circumstances be utilizing any personally identifiable information as obtained through our Google Ads remarketing campaign in any other related marketing endeavours – online or otherwise. - We have implemented certain Google Analytics features for the primary purpose of attempting to ascertain the success of our online marketing endeavours via the Google Ads platform.
- You will choose your cookie preferences when you first visit the site (banner will appear at bottom of page). Once consent is given the banner should not appear again. We use the CookieYes plugin set to ‘Worldwide’.
- Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
- If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
- Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
- For users that register on our website (staff only), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
- You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data (if any) we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

- WP Statistics – GDPR, CCPA and cookie law compliant site analytics – ‘what we collect’. We use the WP Statistics plugin to analyze traffic on our website. WP Statistics stores its data on our own server and does not transmit it to any third parties. As no users, other than staff, login no customer data is collected.
