Idube & sabi Sand safaris
Safari Adventure in Open Vehicles
Step into your open safari vehicle with your experienced FGASA*-trained ranger and tracker for your daily morning and evening drives. At sunrise you’ll traverse the bush for about three hours and witness wildlife awakening to a beautiful new day. Your trained guide and tracker will share their knowledge of the habits and personalities of the animals and birds encountered, and are able to follow wildlife tracks to ensure you riveting, adventurous and close-up-but-safe sightings. And your caffeine needs are also catered to at a mid-drive stop.
One of the highlights of a day in Africa is the sunset in a big, open sky. Three-hour evening drives are topped by a stop in the bush for sundowners, overlooking the most magical settings such as a river or pan, a dry riverbed or amongst granite boulders, listening to the sounds of the evening. As the environment darkens, we use spotlights to discover nocturnal animals like lion, leopards, hyaenas, civets and also smaller species such as night jars and chameleons. And on cold evenings or mornings, you’ll be kept warm with blankets and hot-water bottles.
You’ll feel both comfortable and excited in this often off-road adventure where you can expect the unexpected.
