Directions from Johannesburg
- From Johannesburg or Pretoria, take the N4 to Mbombela (also known as Nelspruit)
- Drive to Hazyview
- From here, please follow the directions in the above map or your GPS to Idube Game Reserve.
- Expect this journey to take you about 5 and a half hours.
- Please enter the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve at Newington Gate only, guests are not allowed to enter at Shaw’s Gate. Newington Gate opens at 5am and closes at 10pm, access to the Sabi Sands is strictly restricted to these hours.
- Note: There are gate entrance fees payable on entering the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, which are used towards conservation efforts:
Flights
- Johannesburg to KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga Airport) with transfer from there to Idube.
- Johannesburg International direct to the Sabi Sands Reserve, landing at the Ulusaba airstrip. Transfer is then by game drive vehicle to Idube.
